Microsoft Edge - VFX
"MGX Promotional Film" - Summer 2016
Worker Studio was brought in by Seattle-based production company, Workhouse Creative, to perform the bulk of the visual effects for Microsoft Edge's MGX promotional film for 2016. Along with freelance VFX Supervisor, Jon Derovan, Michael was on-set to supervise the live-action shoot, and 3D character scans of the lead actor wearing a Squirrel Suit (professionally handled and delivered as always by TNG Visual Effects) for the dynamic flight sequence at the center of the narrative. In just over one-month, Worker Studio realized over 30 VFX shots, ranging in complexity from brand-specific-browser-feature-mimicking motion graphics, complicated drone footage tracking and compositing, to fully-CG, hand-animated stunt-double and city bus. Worker Studio's hard-working and talented team completed this post-production workload in record time in order to to meet a screening deadline for Microsoft's annual MGX event in July.
